Did you remember to change your clocks ahead by one hour on Sunday? Having scouts cook and serve all you can eat pancakes and sausages was a great way to make up for losing an hour of sleep. Our kitchen crew was there at 6:30 am getting the griddles and ovens fired up!
The twelfth point of the scout law is that a Scout is reverent. Scouts from Troop 90 joined cubs, webelos, and Girlscouts for Scout Sunday at Transfiguration in Wauconda this morning. They participated in an opening flag ceremony and were recognized along with their leaders as part of the service.
Thirteen of our scouts took on Lakewood for a day of hiking, sledding and campfire. As a bonus, the Patrols woke to snow covered tents, quickly getting some water boiling to make hot oatmeal before striking camp. Overall feedback from the scouts: Let's Do This Again!
Scout Sunday was celebrated at our Chartered Organization, Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church, this past Sunday. Our scouts performed an opening flag ceremony with an honor guard of Troop Scouts, Cub Scout Webelos, and a Girlscout!
We had visitors from two local packs checkout out one of our troop meetings January. Cold weather was no match for warm spirits as the scouts worked together to cook up some cobbler in the parking lot, run an orienteering course, and set up some tents!
