Winter Family Camp is a Troop 90 tradition, giving newly crossed-over scouts and their parents a chance to get to know the troop and have some fun. We had fantastic weather for fat tire bikes, and in between campfire skits, cooking, and board games, the scouts worked on building skills needed for rank advancement.
As the sun set and the temperature started dropping, the view was spectacular from Troop 90's campsite on Bangs Lake on Saturday January 13.
The temperatures dropped to -2 overnight, but who couldn't say it was awesome to be camping on the ice! The scouts learned some ice fishing, cooked on the ice, and discovered that growing ice makes LOUD noises as it cracks and moves. It was quite the adventure!
